This Lung Month, The Lung Association asks all Canadians to take a moment to think about each one of their 22,000 daily breaths and acknowledge the researchers who devote their lifes work so everyone can breathe easy. Research matters because everyone should be able to breathe. Whether it’s a chronic disease that takes your breath away, an allergy or a cold, we all know that breathing is important. Breathing is something we all do every day and it is something that we all deserve to do with ease. Despite its importance and the fact that 1 in 5 Canadians live with lung disease, lung health research is still grossly underfunded in Canada. Saskatchewan is home to many world class researchers who work relentlessly to create a future where everyone can breathe with ease. It is our pleasure to introduce them to you. |
