Leah Zaparaniuk

Leah Zaparaniuk (Lucyk) is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan and a consultant pharmacist, managing a specialty outreach pharmacy that prioritizes solutions for Long Term Care (LTC) communities, mental health, and complex disability programs. As a recipient of the 2018 Healthcare Professional of the Year Award (Diabetes Canada South Sask Chapter), Leah has further dedicated herself to professional leadership development activities and has pursued extended training in geriatric care, medical cannabis, pharmacogenetics and personalized medicine. She is a strong advocate in the Regina community for the patient-centered care model while engaging families and caregivers with educational support.
Leah is engaged with the LTC Ambassador Group with Rubicon Pharmacies, which supports key store operators and pharmacy managers in order to develop and promote best practices, therapeutic clinical teaching, change management, and collaboration of standards across the central and western provinces. She passionately motivates others to approach challenges as opportunities and was selected as a speaker to share her story of resilience at the 2019 Boss Babe Gala in Regina.
